The Trackbar Emotion's Centered Pointing Device is designed to reduce the discomfort and risk of injury presented by classic mouse designs. The Trackbar Emotion is a 5 button, fully programmable mouse and additional software for programming it is available for free download. The Trackbar Emotion was designed specifically to reduce and prevent the uncomfortable repetitive stress injuries that can occur from using a conventional mouse. In addition, by placing the hands in a centered position, it reduces upper body strain.
The rollbar is clickable, and programmable, and can be switched on and off by holding down the two lower buttons and the roll for 3 seconds. The Trackbar Emotion's default position for use is with the rollbar closest to your keyboard but this can be reversed 180 degrees for those who are more comfortable with the rollbar closer to the body.
The built-in microphone allows Vista and Leopard users (and XP with a free downloadable patch from Microsoft) to utilize voice recognition software which can further reduce clicks and keystrokes. Consult your manual or the manufacturer for further instructions how to activate this software. Microsoft XP users can obtain this software, without charge, on the Microsoft website.
The Trackbar Emotion is both MAC and PC compatible though the free software. which allows for full programmability of the six buttons, is available only for PC users.

Programmable Buttons This model is equipped with a 6-button mouse, including the clickable roll. Additional software is available for the PC to make these buttons programmable without charge (excluding the clickable roll).
The clickable roll can be switched on and off by holding down the two lower buttons and the roll 3 seconds at the same time. The function of the click feature is "double-click" on PCs. If the user wishes to rotate Trackbar Emotion™ 180 degrees this can be done by pressing the switch key on the bottom of the mouse. This will reverse the roll function 180 degrees and the switch of the buttons is made in the control panel of your operative system.
The default position is with the roll closest to the keyboard. The option to rotate the device 180 degrees is available for those who feel more comfortable using Trackbar Emotion™ with the roll closest to the body.
